Hello Brad! Greetings from down the 5 freeway in Olympia WA. I also enjoyed your SmugMug images! There is so much to photograph in the PNW. Have you been out to the Palouse?

Hello NormaN and Andreios,
The resolution and sharpness of Adox Lupex is unlike anything I have used before. Exceptional paper, but the contrast was too high for me also based on my current film...
Hi Dan ... had the same problem with 8 x 10 and larger sheets. To prevent the problem, I cut a polyester/mylar sheet and insert that in the drum. When the processing is completed, I pull out the...
Here is my contribution to the 8 x 20 photo pool!

I started my large format journey with a Sinar F 4 x 5 camera back in the 80s. I think I traded my Nikon F3 to get it at one of the big Los Angeles camera shops. This will be a great experience for...

Hi Doremus ... yes, great getting multiple grades from Adox Lupex. The gels did not affect contrast with Ilford Galerie or Bromportrait, two other papers I use for contact printing.
Reopening this thread ... I have been using Adox Lupex silver chloride paper for contact printing and have been able to adjust the contrast through use of green and blue gels. This recommendation was...
I use the larger Paterson daylight tank to develop my 5 x 7 sheets. Works great and done in the light after loading in a changing bag...
The order is a "go" per Keith. Paid for my film today. Get on board now if you want in.
Great news ... almost there!
Best wishes on your retirement Jim!! I'm just up the 5 freeway from Vancouver in Olympia WA.

Beautiful!!
Hi Carl J - Yes, I have been using Bromportrait 80 papers for my contact printing for a few years now when Freestyle Photo was selling it. Found it again recently at B & H through their supplier....
B & H sells the full Slavich line (Bromportrait and Unibrom) through a distributor. Just ordered a batch!

Hi Stone ... You can use any type of paper for contact printing. I prefer using graded paper for simplicity so as to not have another layer of complexity with VC papers, which then would involve...
Hi Carl ... Yes, I purchased my Amidol from Artcraft. It's a bit more pleasant to use than the Chinese Amidol, which I also have (and filter when using).

Hi Robert ... I shoot TMY in 5x7, 8x20 and other odd cut sizes and contact print with Lodima and Slavich Bromportrait 80 papers. For paper developers, I use PF130 and Amidol. As Bill notes, contact...
Hi Petzval Paul ... My negatives are contacted printed on normal graded or VC papers. The x-ray negative looks like my standard negatives, only with the blue film base. I expose for good shadow...
