    Yup, I thought the same. This is FP4+.
    Wonder if I'm doing something "wrong" somehow, during scanning, or can developing do this ?
    I don't know what the local lab uses to develop, however I'll ask...

    Sinar lens board retaining "clip"

    I've seen references to some of of "retaining clip" for the lensboard on Sinars (F in my case).
    Anyone have any information or can point me to one ?

    Adobe SW choices

    I have an Epson 4870 scanner that came with Silverfast AI and Photoshop Elements 2.0.
    Looks like Elements, or at least the 2.0 version that I have, doesn't support full 16 bit color depth.

    I have an Epson 4870 (new) and am using Silverfast AI (that came with it).
    Doesn't matter what I set SF AI to (16 bit gray, 48 bit color, 16-8 bit gray, etc), it always produces an outfile (.TIF)...

    Epson 4870/4990 and sharpening

    Trying to figure out, when scanning, either negatives or transparencies, monochrome or color, if it's better to sharpen when scanning (SilverFast AI) or after in Photoshop or whatever..

    I wasn't planning on using a probe meter.
    I've just seen the term "metering back" used a lot and didn't know what
    it was.

    The A1 that's available here locally, would be "as good" of a choice as, say, an F1 ?
    From the bit of information that I've been able to find so far is that the A1 is a lighter camera, I guess...

    It has interchangeable bellows. Bellows extend to 390mm.
