jp - see your point...for me it was about the texture of the tree. as well as experimenting with something i hadnt tried. with all the trees in the background the fg tree gives a sense of what they...
Prefer the f11 shot more.
Got a couple of scans back recently and getting the hang of it. Been using my d800 to meter and then shooting for that exposure. Seems that the film I'm using, Ilford FP4 Plus 125 BW doesnt like...
Ha! If you knew my work Graham it wouldnt be such a shocker :P Largest group I've had was 25 so far. Have ideas for larger. Though here it's 2 women and 3 men. :)

Good quick answer....thanks!
I'm over on Kauai and found Ray on Oahu (photoplantinc.com). Just got my setup so havent been able to send him any film yet. Only bw up to 8x10. Let me know if you get a hold of him!

Thanks Peter. I think a lot of the confusion (at least for myself) is trying to figure out which are MC and have good image circles. I have heard a bunch about the 90/210 combo...just figured the...
Ok...so having shot digital for...well...most of my life...I'm pretty blown away by the lens choices for LF...especially considering the very close name systems.
I believe 3 lenses is where I will...
Thanks again all!
This is for field work...not studio...so definitely not worried about a monorail. :)
Looks like I'll go Cham to start....why not :)
Now to find one used!
Appreciate the thought Mike. Coming from shooting 14mm with my 35mm DSLR I know my mind is going to want wide. Will poke around and see what I can find. So much info it's daunting to search so...

Been doing a bunch of research...and almost to the point of just closing my eyes and making a decision. But figured I'd post, b/c...why not :)
Professional photog (35mm DSLR)...
Good to know Drew.
Unfortunately where I live there is definitely a mold issue. So trying to attempt to take that in to account before pulling trigger.
Thoughts on black walnut? The Shen...

Thanks again David.
My only concern is that this project will not be landscape work so much as portrait/nude (my nudes are mostly landscape). Just am afraid of limiting myself too much but given...

Aloha all!
Was directed to the forums by a fellow photog who I was poking for some info. Full time landscape photog and have been starting to get the film itch. More for my nude and portrait...
