When you lookled for the light leak did you test with the film holder in place or without the film holder.

You could try painting the scratch with black ink or non reflective paint. This may cut down the light scatter and allow you to use the lens.

If you hurry, there are seven old 4x5 film holders on ebay with no current bids and about fifty minutes to go.
