  1. Re: Best long lenses usable with Linhof Master Technika

Thanks, all, for the terrific suggestions. Yeah, I think the Nikon 360/500 might be the way to go. I'm going to be hiking and shooting peaks with this setup, so it's certainly handy to have the two...
  2. Best long lenses usable with Linhof Master Technika

I'm looking for recommendations for long lenses (say, 360mm - 450mm) that are usable with the Technika's bellows draw. I know the Fuji 400T will work, but those who know the lens seem to say that...

Re: DPL users/owners of Howtek/Aztek scanners

Hello, all. I'm desperately seeking help before hauling my Howtek 7500 down to Aztek for evaluation/repair.

I've been getting striping / banding in my scans for a while now, and I've tried...

Re: Maternity photography using Chamonix 45N-2

Wow -- I just realized this is an extensive thread. I haven't read through it. Here's the reply I wrote before realizing that many others had replied:

Andrew -- thanks for the various posts. Yes, the Technika's rear standard can certainly be used for indirect displacement in this way, giving potentially more shift / rise / fall. The reason I need...
  6. Re: Need 4x5 camera recommendations (for use with Linhof lens boards)

Thanks -- keep the suggestions coming. FYI a monorail is fine too. I'm not limiting this to field cameras.

Huub: Great suggestion. I'm checking it out. Looks like it doesn't accept Linhof-style...

Re: Linhof Master Technika view screen

Plain ground glass (with grid lines). The Linhof-brand fresnel works well. You just add it to the exterior side of the ground glass.
  8. Need 4x5 camera recommendations (for use with Linhof lens boards)

I'm looking for the an inexpensive, quality 4x5 that meets these criteria:

    - accepts Linhof/Wista lens boards
    - has rear movements (rise / fall / lateral shift)
    - accepts a standard Graflok back...

    Re: Bosch Electronic Rangefinder

Jac -- have you tried it in bright sunlight? I looked at it online, and I'm not clear what the optional target is or how it works. I know there are Leica Disto models that include a video screen for...

    Re: Linhof Lens board help

I highly doubt you'll be able to find the Comfort Board on the used market, but there's another solution. I have my 75mm/4.5 in a recessed Linhof lensboard that's recessed about 21mm, but then in the...
