Thanks all, and Tuco that is superb. This is exactly the sort of thing I am looking to try, weather permitting.
Sorry also for not being clearer Corran, I am not able to use much in the way of...
Thanks very much Peter. It is one image, the foreground lit with a torch for a few seconds. I am having to use the digital cameras a little more at the moment as my light meter has just broken and...

One from a night out at Holy Island
Thank you Al. The original slide looks nice under a loupe, the detail picked up is surprising, though not a patch on 4x5 (which is the largest format I own unfortunately). I should probably go out...
Excellent series. I always seem to post here at the moment as I haven't taken a LF image for a few weeks at least now. And so..

Thank you. I think that it goes to show that sometimes it is probably better to leave a photo a few days and then go back to it as it is one of those that I almost deleted. I will have to see what...
I agree the monochrome is superb, although the colour rendition of the Portra is very nice. A couple of mine, the first needs a 4x5 to do it properly and the second was taken on a dreary day.

Great stuff Alex. This is one on Ektar 100 converted to black and white because of the light in the foreground and across the boats. And because I forgot to take any proper black and white film...

Congrats! Would love to try contact printing next.
Thanks both. Professional it is a pity that you were unable to use the Ektar you have, I am at the moment finding it a very decent colour neg. PDM, the location is Gribdale in the UK, I had to wait...
Very interesting prints, which I mean in a really good way. The third in particular for me is an absolute peach.
This is also a second one from the same box of Ektar.

Roseberry Topping Ektar 100 Large Format by NGUSS, on Flickr
Thanks, there was a huge bank of cloud and the sun went into it so it was pretty much like that though I did use a 3 stop ND filter to balance it out as the highlights were more than +5
I like that a lot RHITMrB! This is a recent one on Ektar 100, should probably find the lighthouse thread and post it in that.

I would love to get up to Scotland and find out, bit probably not for a while now though.
Beautiful photo, demonstrates Scottish summertime well. Also shows you don't need the best weather to make a striking image, though an eye for a great composition helps.

That's very helpful, thanks.
This is a stunner! How do you find Shangahi film? I am considering an 8x10 camera and this film seems reasonably priced.
Thank you all for the really kind comments. I was quite amazed at how it came out personally as the light at the time was not great, so seeing it when I got it back was a nice surprise. I think I...
Finally managed to get the 4x5 out the other week. I love Ektar 100, the exposure latitude is incredible.

Thanks guys, I am using an old Nikon 28mm Ai-s it's a nice lens, but I think I need a 24mm. I wonder what the Samyang tilt-shift will eventually be like.
I very much like that beach photo...
