Re: Does anyone using a dslr for test shots?

Don't attempt to assess the quality of a digital exposure using the LCD image, it will just be misleading. Use the histogram function to see the range of tones and whether or not some pixels are...

Re: Newbie question regarding colour postives

Those were the guidelines I followed when I loaded them. Very useful website. Best wishes, Kris.

Re: Newbie question regarding colour postives

I can see how that would easily happen but in this case it cannot be the answer. I have a plethora of filters for my other smaller format cameras but I do not have a red one that fits my LF lenses...

    Newbie question regarding colour postives

    Hi.

Sorry for the newbie question here. If you look at a colour positive on a lightbox or whatever and you make sure the film is the right way up etc., should the writing along the film edge be...

    Re: Dust spotting scans

Thanks for that tip, very helpful. Works like that in my ancient Lightroom 1.4 so must be the same in subsequent versions. Kris.
  7. Re: Looking for good quality, lightweight film changing tent/bag - any suggestions?

I realise that I am raising a thread from the dead, but I am in need of a bag/tent for changing dark slides and I am wondering what people would recommend eight years later! The Harrison tents seem...

  9. Schneider Kreuznach Symmar 1:5.6/135 (1:12 / 235)

I was wondering if anyone could point me to any information regarding this lens? It doesn't have a shutter with it. I assume it would work with a 5x4 view camera OK. Any ideas to image quality? ...

    Re: wide angle lenses (again)

Many thanks for the info. I realise that the different lengths equate to different angles of view (thanks for the 35mm comparisons, very helpful). My main concern is being able to have sufficient...

    Hi.

I am a newbie to LF photography and am looking for a wide angle lens for my Horseman LE 5x4. I mainly want to use it for architecture. I did contribute to an earlier threat in case any of...

    Re: Wide Angle Lens

I don't want to poach the OP's thread but my question is so similar it seems churlish to start a new one. I am just starting out in LF photography and have purchased a Horseman LE 5x4. My intention...
