Let me say my first impression. This camera is closer to N1 than N2. Weigh is 3 lbs 5.2oz or 1.51kg.

I have a Canham screen and a Wista. Both one piece, requires protective glass.

Dan, it is a different one, if you take a look at the screw that secrues the rod on the camera. It has two screws.

Is it for the old model? Do you think it is original? I think arca front standard has only one place to screw in for the rod, that is in the middle. not the two sides.

I once owned the previous version with walnut wood, and now have the latest version with maple wood. I think the current one is lighter than the previous version. So it must be the wood.

I dont know how do you draw the conclusion that the front standard on Chamonix is less stable.

It might be hassle for someone to screw, unscrew the front standard while open/fold the camera....

John, The only problem with 810 is that the dimension of the bag is 10" Depth x 12" Wide x 22" Tall.
14" wide would fit most 810 comfortably.
