Really wasn't looking at authorship (hijacked my own thread with the last comment)
As far as my original post - The distrust is purely related to content manipulation.

Sounds like a Forrest Fenn quote, when he was dealing in 'reproductions'...
"If you love it less when you see the signature who now is the fake?"
Which leads in the same direction...'Wouldn't...
Though, I'm quite aware most images are manipulated to some effect for presentation on the web...I have 'suddenly' realized it has become quite difficult to identify 'digitally altered' images...even...
Second one would be my preference...I like the subject and composition as well. Nice Image.

I don't wear gloves at any stage with film, but do while printing - might be excessive, but I print one at a time, use one hand, and use a fresh glove for each print - off after fix, new glove under...
Might as well do two groups...hint, hint...;)
Cheers,
Dan
Scott,
I'd like to do two groups (different prints for each) .... so if it's okay, put me in there twice...
I need something to get me motivated to print !!! :)

Washing and Toning are the killers for me....prefer to print at night and I'll print myself to exhaustion, then realize I'm committed for another couple hours...
I used to stand all the time in...
Thanks Again Doremus and Bob,
Actually turned out to not be processing related....perfect circle, hard edges - looked like dark bubbles...
Was lens flare....(tiny RR lens, stopped all the way...
to finish out the process...
Developer - no pre-soak - first 1 min, 10 sec every 1 min - stop constant agitation - fix agitate first 1 min, 10 sec @ 30 sec thereafter...
I run a 45min wash,...
Hard water - city water - w/inline sediment filter - Running - flow rate is enough for complete change of water every 5-6 minutes...but, no large (1/8") or larger bubbles have ever been obvious......
Thanks Bob,
I'm using tanks and hangers, and faithfully 'tap'...
Thinking more towards the wash phase, with the bubbles being higher density....
Was under the impression bubbles in the...
Would someone please remind me what the usual cause for higher density air bubble marks on film is?
Slightly darker obvious air bubbles on film (light in print...)
Adox Pan 25 - Rodinal 1:100...
What fixer are you using? Did you get the kit with the fixer (kodak)? or using something else?
Cheers,
Dan
I'd like to participate as well.
Thanks,

Thanks Welly and Roger...
Was wondering if flat rate envelopes would be cost effective for mailing prints internationally in the print exchange....but it sure doesn't appear so...
Dan
Didn't want to hijack the 2012-13 print exchange thread....but was/am kicking around an idea...and was wondering/curious...
For those international participants of past print exchanges, what was...
Keep in mind, Bentonite is not instant, and will take some time to absorb the liquids (and may not absorb some)...polymers are definitely better suited, especially for chemicals...
Cheers,
Dan
Yes, I would very much like to participate...shipped to Canada, US, or elsewhere....
Cheers,
Dan
Probably looking for spill containment liquid absorbers...like here (second product 'DriMop' for chemicals)...
...
I guess I'd be in the minority here....open 1-2 stops from closed down....believing optimum aperture around f-11 to 16....
Cheers,
Dan
Jim,
PM sent, I'd like to be included.

Dan

Dan

Dan
Does anyone store their processed negatives inside their darkroom? any Ill effects?
Trying to free up some space in my shop, and have always stored negatives in clear file pages in binders outside...
Sepia (sulfide) toning by itself is usually considered adequate for permanence...
fwiw....I have toned prints both ways....sepia first, then selenium and others selenium first, then sepia...
...
I thought it was a rabbit....interesting image either way. Thanks for sharing.
Dan
Thanks Scott...appreciate the info...
I really enjoy the grain and gritty look, but have only found one paper that had a similar appearance - old Kodak Polymax Fine Art FB with LD20...
I am...
Excellent Scott !!!
If you don't mind me asking, and if you don't mind sharing, what lith dev and paper combination are you using?
I'm partial to LD20, but looking for a new paper...
Cheers,...
Probably not quite what you are looking for....But, I use the purple felt bags from Crown Royal bottles...

I personally use safety glass -1/4" glass shelving - for contact printing - and have never experienced problems...

I use Dektol 1:3 for slightly reduced contrast with Oriental MG FB...seems (to me) to give a little more separation in the shadows - and softens the highlights a bit...especially with lower grades or...
I personally use these Crystal Clear bags from Archival Methods in packages of 100 - I just keep various sizes on hand for different mounts.

Thanks Jim,
It actually started as liquid emulsion on paper, but was having problems with adhesion - so it ended up being a painted glass mask laid over silver gelatin paper...
Dan
I don't remember where it came from, but my notes show a minimum of 10ml Rodinal per 80sq/in of film...
Which would translate to 12 4x5 sheets (@33ml)- but also keep in mind it is a one shot...
