    Re: 8x10 negative developing

To answer your question, 1 tray for each bath (presoak, dev, stop, fix, ect) I would use 11x14 or 12x16, about 2.5-3 liters of solution per tray.

There is a learning curve for tray development,...
  4. Re: Schneideritis -- There is a "cure," but is it worth it?

You could probably just take the glass out and sell the shutter for about as much as the whole thing.
  5. Re: Burke and James 10 x 8 commercial view: opinions?

They will get the job done, and are usually priced right. I dont mind a heavy camera if the weight means a solid stable camera, my B&J just has the weight. I tend to swear at mine.

Re: Any small soft focus lens for 8x10 existingl

I was able to get a 305 Kodak Portrait lens in a #5 Universal on a 4" board. I think I had to shim it off the board about 1/4" to get it on the camera ( a 5x7 deardorff). I dont remember it being to...

Re: 17 inch and 19 3/4 inch KODAK EKTANON

I have one of the f10 17" copying ektanons and it is sharp, contrasty enough for the alt process printing I do, and easily covers 11x14 with room to move. I love mine and it was cheap to boot.

brush development might be a good idea if your already doing one sheet at a time face up, if you have a DBI light all you need is a cheap hake brush.

The hunting type blinds tend to have enough windows to see/shoot out of that condensation isnt a problem in practice.

Re: Tent for hunting with a camera gun WANTED

The blinds do warm up nicly in the sun, and keep the wind at bay to a degree. Small propane heaters used in icefishing houses would be nice early and late in the day. I like a wool suit and/or a...

Re: Which 4x5 darkcloth to avoid fogging?

If its really cold, dont even fight it, just carry a little windshield scraper, and use a big heavy darkcloth around you to warm up.

    God I miss cold winters.

Getting started with a Packard Shutter

A lot is going to depend on how large a lens you want to hang on the camera. A Galliesque f4 16" petzval is going to need at least a 6 1/2x 6 1/2 shutter with a 3 1/2" hole. It will laso need a lens...
