Old Things,Farms,Barns,Buildings, Plus
I retired in 1999 and moved into a smaller house in 2008. Since my move I have been shooting old barns and farms, abadnon buildings, old depots, almost anything old, with vintage equipment. I have an 8x10 Deardoff about my age, born 1935, and my new camera is a Super Speed Graflex. Most lens are Ektar, with a few Wollensak in the mix. Film is Ilford Delta 100.
Here is a shot that started the barn and farms collection. This barn is what remains of a dariry farm, my development can be seen in the background.
Shot with my Deardoff and a 10 inch Ektar.

This is the reason I love photographing old things. This is an old abandon house covered in wisteria and wild flowere in the forground. The photo was made several years ago and the house is now gone! Some things deserve to be saved by photography, and I think this is one.
Made with a Zone VI camera several years ago.

This is another photograph for history. Whoever lived in this house was a friendly sort. Why else would a hand well pump be put in the front yard.
Made with my Graflex and 127mm lens.

Does this photograph show something old, no, not really? However, it is historical in that it a photograph of Burlington Industries Corporate Office in Greensboro, NC. When this was made with a Zone VI with a roll film back it records the headquarters of the largest textile manufacturing operation in the USA, employing thousands. In addition, Burlington was my largest customer during my 40 years in the US Textile Industry. To-day it is gone, out of business, this building torn down. This property is now the home of a shopping center. History needs to be recorded.

Lots of old, stored in old.
Re: Old Things,Farms,Barns,Buildings, Plus
I've posted a lot of old things elsewhere, but here's something a little different. It's an old fire axe ("Truck 5") that my father picked up somewhere along the way.
