tuco, love the color shot of the eclipse. Despite having to leave your scouted location, it seems like you found a good alternative!!
Nice color on the above. My M9 is at Leica for a sensor replacement...quoted 6-9 months lead time for repair :(. Do you have a replacement sensor already?

Thanks. No I don't think so. Its sensor could use a good cleaning though. Its hard to clean it with all those prisms or whatever they are on it.

I hope your sensor doesn't fail then! Leica issued a limited replacement policy, but just recently on August 15th stopped the program. There's an issue with the sensor that causes corrosion on the IR filter. Apparently it is caused by moisture, and the high humidity down here did it to mine. They are replacing the sensor on mine free though as part of the warranty service. Don't wet clean the sensor, it may cause problems!

I heard about it. But I thought I'd wait until it was a problem. I didn't know they discontinued the replacement policy. That sucks.
