I was on a camping trip in central Utah a week ago. Some trees were prime, most were well past.
There were deer hunters everywhere. I made sure that neither my dog nor I ventured too far away from the roads, seeing as neither of us were wearing bright orange.

Very nice, Harley. I really like the naked trees against the darker conifers. The fence adds a nice dimension, too. Well done!Quote:

+1 .. @JeRuFo Amazing image with tonality. Just curious - what was the sub brightness range and did you have to use special techniques to bring that under control.
thanks. -Arun
Thanks. I believe it was about 7, the fog did most of the heavy lifting for me. The light was somewhat directional, but there were no bright spots. I just developed it as normal. I don't develop to the nearest second anyway, but this fit quite easily within the contrast range, so I could take a bit more liberty with the exposure to make sure none of the shadows would block up.
Nice shot Harley, great find.
Thanks to Pretson, Aruns andJeRuFo for the comments on my image of the bare aspens. Much appreciated.
This is another image I made during that trip. On my way home from central UT, I camped in the mountains above Cedar City. These trees were near the camping area.
