Re: Post your Urbex shots
Love that second one, Mitch. Some scans from a shoot a couple of months ago:
All on TMY2 in a Toyo 45A, Xtol 1+1 rotary. I've also got some Efke-25 shots but they haven't been developed yet.
Re: Post your Urbex shots
Great stuff, I love the second photo; I don't like TMY, but you've made it look fantastic.
Re: Post your Urbex shots
Thanks! This is why I don't get why people don't like TMY - you can make it look like whatever you want with a bit of control over exposure and development. There's loads more shadow detail in these but I've just printed 'em deliberately dark+contrasty.

True, i agree, TMY is one of my favorite films, didn't test it with LF yet, but i have a box for later, Acros is another favorite one, and your posts making me happy that TMY will do the job for me.
Re: Post your Urbex shots
It's a beautiful film, to be sure, it just has a clinical feel that I'm not mad about.
Again, Polyglot, good stuff!

Fort Howard Park, Baltimore, MD. This may completely qualify as urban exploring since it is open to the public, but the subject matter is right in line nonetheless.
5x7 Canham, Ilford FP4+.
The first shot was made with a 9" Verito lens, while the other two were shot with a 120mm Super Angulon.

Information about the park: Fort Howard is the name of a former military installation in Baltimore County, Maryland, near the present-day settlement of Fort Howard. The
installation earned the nickname the "Bulldog at Baltimore's Gate" and served as the coastal artillery headquarters for Baltimore. The installation was
turned over to the Veterans' Administration in 1940, which still owns the majority of the property. The portion of the property containing the old coastal
artillery fortications was declared surplus federal land and is now the county park. Visitors to the park can enjoy hiking, birdwatching, bicycling, fishing,
picnicking, group events and remnants of the old artillery fortifications.

Re: Post your Urbex shots
Since I posted that "Half Left" shot above, someone has started building a house in the ruin! Frames are all up but that's it so far.
I have a bunch more (and IMHO slightly better) photos from Newmans but they're C41 and my 4x5 scanner is so old, broken and dirty that I cannot get acceptable colour images from it. Also got a couple more from Morialta on CHS100, but not developed yet. Hoping to go back when the light is better - the one above is from a wander through when it was about to piss down.
Re: Post your Urbex shots
There used to be an asylum/jail for the criminally insane in Adelaide, referred to as "Z Ward, Glenside". It closed in the 70s and was recently sold off for use as office space; I managed to get two hours in there without a huge crowd. There was a public open "day" (3 hours on a Sunday morning) and the queue was over 300m long at opening; I gave up on that but got lucky with knowing someone who knew someone...

more here. I shot some 160NS too but my scanner can't really handle that.
