Zig Align System for copy work, any users?
Someone reccomended the Zig Alignment system, which was designed for photo copy work. Its sole purpose is to align the 3 planes making them perfectly parallel, i.e. film plane, lens plane and copy material plane. Although it can be used to make any planes parallel for any application, it was designed with copy work in mind. The system is very unique in its means to align the 3 planes. Here is a link, you may have to fish around the web site a bit to grasp the concept...

I have used it for years now for my enlarger and for my view camera when I copy stuff. No complaints.

You can save some money and accomplish the same thing with the versalab parallel. I just bought one and it works perfectly.

I have been using the Zig-align for over four years now, I do alot of copy work for artist and use the Phase One FX scanback, the Zig-align is a very precise tool if you are doing copy work and want the planes parallel to the artwork.

I have used a short three-way laser level for the same task and get to use it for other less specialized work too. The Zig system is more compact though and the reflectors come with it I asume...
