Jim, I have heard quite a few people say that. The brochure says it will cover 1620 at F22, I found only a hint of dark corner when wide open but when stopped down to F22, it is more than enough. This has become one of my most favorite lenses for 1620. I have two, the AM with a factory shutter seems to have a bit more corner, a black barrel one has almost no corner, I don't know, would a shutter sometimes cause coverage problem?

What chemistry is the wet plate?
Wet plate is awesome, and I want to do it, but is not feasible at this stage in my life :(
Re: 14" Dagor on wet plate
These are fantastic plates, I'd love to go 16x20 sometime in the future but how do you scan a plate that size? You must have a HUGE scanner...
Re: 14" Dagor on wet plate
The brochure from 1951 says:
f7.7 - 10x12
f16 - 12x16
f45 - 16x20
P.S. Beautiful plates.:D

Thank you, guys!
Craig,
I use Epson XL 10000, you will need to stitch the image together in PS. It can only do up to 17".

Interesting! I feel F22 is more than enough for 1620. Factory always wants to be on the safe side so people don't complain.

Pretty amazing work you have done here Tuant. Have you tried portrait work with this size? The lens has an unique look as a fine wine. Thanks for sharing the process.
Re: 14" Dagor on wet plate

Tri, I haven't done too many but on May 1st, we are going to do a bunch of 20x24 with the 8D. That should be interesting:D

That's exciting! I look forward to see more event pictures for that day. Thanks and keep us updated.
