Question on Devere 5108, 8x10 enlarger
Hello does any one has De Vere 5108 enlarger ?
I would like to ask a question , can anyone tell me the distance between the lens board and the table when the head is at the highest position and the table is the lowest position ? if possible in Centimeter ?
Also what kind of lens board do I need when I need to print 35mm negatives (with 50mm lens) and medium format negatives(with 90mm) and 4x5 negatives ( with 150mm)
Really appreciated for your reply.

Thank you Greg for your answer, if you have time to measure sometime soon, that would be really helpful ! so are you printing with 3inch depth recessed board to print 35mm negatives ? is everything working good ? thank you so much ! croski

So what are you really trying to do with this Enlarger? It's probably the finest enlarger made, and way more capable than 99.9% of the people who will ever use one.

Re: Question on Devere 5108, 8x10 enlarger
basically I am wondering if I can print 120x80cm ( 48x32 inch) prints from 35 mm negatives on this enlarger using 50mm lens. I heard this is up to 40x30 inch prints , but just want to make sure if someone has more experience with this enlarger... thank you !
Re: Question on Devere 5108, 8x10 enlarger
The baseboard on mine is 32x42". The 32" side is only 1/2" from the vertical column that supports the head. The lens is pretty well centered on the baseboard. You might be able to get close to your size with an easel hanging over the long dimension of the baseboard. I have never used a 50mm lens on mine.

With a 50 the bellows on either is very compressed. I think you'll get a larger magnification out of the DeVere.
