Another Turner Reich Question
Hi,
I just came across a Turner Reich convertible. I am unsure what the combined focal length is. The front element is 24" and the rear is 18" It has an F/stop scale for 5 different lengths, 13" 11" with a little 2 above it, 10" with a little 2 above it, 9 with a little 2 above it and 8". I have been told by a colleague that the combined element length is 300mm and that it would cover 7x17, but I am not sure that is correct. It is mounted in an Ilex #4 Universal which seems to be working reasonably well . There is a tiny bit of separation on the front element of about 1/2 mm around the perimeter. Can someone please let me know what I have here, how much it will cover, what the image quality is and what it is worth. Thanks in advance.

Another Turner Reich Question
The focal length when both cells are used is 10 1/2". This is the "No.4" combination which was suggested for use with the "Whole Plate" (6 1/2" X 8 1/2") format.
Your best bet in finding out what the image quality is is to try it.
