Re: E6 lab recommendation?
Joe,
I know nothing about the lab in Maine you mentioned but I do know you have many choices closer to home .... just do a Google search. The lab in New England that I can recommend is Slice Specialists in Lebanon, NH (http://www.slidespecialists.com/).
Re: E6 lab recommendation?
http://www.4photolab.com is Edgar Praus in Rochester, NY and they do a lot of mail order, high quality work for professionals... I know he does E6 for a lot with photographers out West, even Alaska...
Re: E6 lab recommendation?
Most of us 'round these parts use http://www.colortek.org/ in Boston. Excellent service and quality for E-6 .
Re: E6 lab recommendation?
I usually use Duggal in Manhattan these days--www.duggal.com.
Re: E6 lab recommendation?
Chrome Inc, Washington, DC

Their web site is mostly about digital services, but they do process E-6 and C-41.

What Frank said. Mike at Praus helped me trouble shoot my 4x5 E6 when I thought I was having local lab issues. Turns out my light meter needed to be calibrated. When my local lab shuts down within the year I'll send all my E6 to Praus.

Re: E6 lab recommendation?
I live here in Portland, Maine and used to bring my chromes to Portland Color. When they stopped processing E-6, Photographic Traditions bought the machine and I think are the only ones in Maine at least for LF.
I've been bringing my 4x5 and 8x10 chromes there and have always had good results. All dip-and-dunk and they will process up to 8x10. Last batch I brought them was in early October and they came out beautiful.
Re: E6 lab recommendation?
Another vote for Edgar Praus. Quick turnaround and great service.
