Re: Show Me Your Night Shots!
I usually photograph star trails with the Hasselblad but figured why not 8x10 ? Around a two hour (I believe) exposure, HC-110 dil b around 10 minutes. Not sure how this will contact or wet print as the neg looks thin (make sense since everything is dark). Had to apply shallow S curve in PS. That's the International Space Station cutting across the frame. I really should try this with colour film but C41 or E6 ?

I've heard it said that Provia 100F is the best film for star trails.
Re: Show Me Your Night Shots!
Fred, try Provia 100F.
I did few test shots with 4x5 Provia this summer, works good.
Aperture F/5.6, exposure depending on ambient light.

Why specifically is Provia100f the best for that? Best how? Thanks!
Re: Show Me Your Night Shots!
Nice shot.
Stone, reciprocity, your favorite topic, is the reason. Personally I like tungsten white balance with stars. Wish I'd have had film on my trip to AZ.

You mean using tungsten film? Or you mean using tungsten compensating filter?
Reciprocity makes sense.
Re: Show Me Your Night Shots!
I've done both but I have a large backstock of Fuji T64 which I really like. Weather and work have prevented me from doing a lot of startrail work but my current situation should favor it much more...
