Good job Jeff, right in the topic!
Playing with a fun tiny petzval. Not really soft focus Pricktorialism, but still kinda weird.

I have these. #1 began life as a color neg. Expired polacolor 200 in a Mamiya 1000Attachment 176657, testing a 500mm mirror lens gifted to me. Digital negative, Van Dyke print and oil colored. The craft isn't there yet but 1st attempt.
#2 is from 6x6 delta 100 neg. Same process, digital neg, vdb, oil color. Just exploring. Attachment 176658
My first image post so I hope I get it right. Thanks.
Some tests with a stopped down magnifying glass on a m4/3 camera...

Quite lovely, Chris! A very impressionistic, "painterly" effect.
Thank you Mark. I didn't realize while shooting through the small screen of the panasonic gm1. Then a generous amount of Vibrance and a little dehaze etc did the job.
I think i will give another try these days as spring doesn't last long here.
It is a small magnifying glass with a diameter of about 35mm and of 110mm focal length aprox. Mounted on a cardboard tube with a stop of 10mm in dia. so, something like an f11 and 220mm equivalent for FF cameras.
Here my first tryout to make a soft focus pictorialism image.
While still waiting for my ordered soft focus lens for my 4x5, I remembered I had a softar I around.
I hope a rose counts as well as it has some stings on it.
Used a Hasselblad 501c/m, Sonnar 150mm F/4, Softar I filter, Acros 100 in Microfine Stock slightly longer developed
