Really, no thread for posting polaroids?
This is my first (that I'd show anybody, anyway)

Yep i have a 4870 which is even older. Works pretty ok witjvthe after market better-scanning holder.
Quick one from this weekend, cheap scanner, I see lots of dust, etc, sigh...
I gotta learn all this scanner stuff now.
Especially the resolution stuff.
I scanned at 4800dpi, makes a HUGE file!
I definitely don't understand it.
Yes, I'm a newbie to this.
Not that good, but it's a start.

I made this image on Sunday with Polaroid 57. Expiration September 1972. That's forty year old Polaroid. I just opened the box last week. I went with 1600 EI and set the lens at 1/150 f/16. She's low in contrast, but I like it anyway. The camera was my Kieth twin lens 4x5 with Ilex 215 6.3 lens. The scanned image is not as nice as the original. The sealer tubes are all good, amazing.

A shot of my Mom when she visited me. I have been having a lot of these pictures with a lot of blue cast, but it's fine because she liked it. :D

About time I posted something rather than just lurking.
I still haven't got up the courage to actually load some "proper" sheet film into holders, so up to now my LF forays have all been Polaroid and Fuji.

Here's a snap from a little coffee shop where some friends of mine play often and invite lots of local musicians to sit in. Taken with my converted Polaroid 900 w/ 135mm f/3.5 Xenotar, wide-open with Fuji FP-3000B at 1/100:

Gary,
A Polaroid 405 holder is what I use for my 4x5 cameras with Graflok backs. These holders seem to be pretty plentiful on Eb*y. Lots of people ask way too much, but you can find them for under $50. Slightly less common is the Fuji PA-145 holder that is pretty much the same thing.
It's a nice format to use with the Aero Ektar since it is smaller than 4x5 and allows for some movements with the AE without much light falloff or vignetting.
Good luck,
Jonathan

Wow, this is actually a good photo, but, our crappy scanner really sucks.
And all this dust! It's horrible.
This does not do this photo justice, even though it is a small instant film.
