I'm in.
Still wish the SP457 had made it...but this is a decent alternative--especially if it it opens up the possibility of 8x10 in the future.
Does two liters to develop two 8x10s sound right?
Does a goal of $47,700 sound right also?
Fair enough, but I wouldn't have thought demand would justify the investment in such tooling.
Compare it to the Catlabs kickstarter for the CL81 where the goal was for $5,500
Well, I develop 6 sheets in 1 gal tanks just fine. Still, the systems sounds pretty neat! L
The suggested two liters to develop two sheets of 8x10 is most likely just the amount of solution necessary in that size tank to cover the film adequately.
Everyone,
Note that we're hoping to have tested the dual-sided film holders before the Kickstarter ends. That would allow you to process 4 sheets in 2 liters.
We decided to error on the side of too much chemistry in order to provide for even development. We're also hoping to reduce the chemical requirement a bit; we'll have to see what develops (sorry about the pun.)
