how was the meetup ladies and gents?
What a walk. It was a great day, saw some nice falls, got a few nice shots and some crazy blisters. Haha..
I was very happy with the day despite my obvious lack of fitness, finding out my spot meter is out by 1 full stop and varying 9kgs of monorail camera and tripod and a 12kg back pack for 10~12 kms. Sounds horrible but I assure you it was a great day. Can't wait until the next meet.
Stef, Jason, Ian and myself are all keen for some sunshine coast seascapes next. I for one can not wait..
Less walking involved with seascapes...
Sounds great alexn, i wish i would've stumbled across this thread earlier. This is just a suggestion but there is a stretch of rocky shoreline in-between alexandra heads and mooloolabah that would provide good shooting conditions all day long despite tides and sun location - the stretch is pretty easy to access as well. Check'er out on google maps for a good scope.
Thanks mate.
We were thinking of Point Cartwright. The spot you're talking about is pretty stunning too, (one of my favorite spots actually) I tend to finish shooting by 6:30~7am with seascapes. After that I always find the sun is too high to get a really meaningful image.
We'll discuss in detail in here what we plan on doing before we do it.
Hey guys. It was a great day. I hope Alex is walking properly by now...
Just posted a couple from the day over in the waterfall thread. Not my best work ever but am sure you guys will want to have a gander anyways....

Looking forward to the next outing!
Nice shots Stef! I particularly like the last one, but I am admittedly a bit partial to B&W... I am keen to process my films, but the in-laws are currently staying with us, and using my darkroom as a bathroom/toilet! Should hopefully be able to get something up next weekend though.
Yes, onwards to the next outing!
Haha Ian. Just tell 'em to cross their legs! :)
I like the last one best too mate....
Great shots mate.. My legs and shoulders are back in action. I'm not shooting this weekend with family commitments etc, but I have some bits and bobs here to do up a rough prototype P&S 4x5. Might even fire a shot or two through it next weekend at Noosa Heads...
Finally got my slides back and scanned in...
I'm glad to say that despite some difficulty, there are plenty of usable images..
Heres a few... All taken with the Hammer + 75/4.5 + Cheap chinese 6x12 back on Velvia 50.
