Patrick Gainer
As many of you know Patrick Gainer shared the results of his experimentation with developer formulas and photographic chemistry on various photography forums, especially APUG and photo.net, and in both on-line and print publications, including http://unblinkingeye.com/Articles/VitC/vitc.html, Photo Techniques, and The Darkroom Cookbook. Patrick was an inspiration to the photographic community and he made some very important contributions to the literature.
Patrick (or Gadget as he sometimes called himself) has not been active on the forums since late 2009 due to health issues. However, his fans should know that in spite of the fact that he has had to give up darkroom work, and his trusted analog Leica, he still loves photography as much as ever and is now working with a digital camera.
His daughter Tina, with whom Pat now lives, shared the following link to Pat’s work, http://share.shutterfly.com/share/re...8AcNnLRq4aMmFj
You can contact Patrick by email at pagainer@gmail.com.
Hope you enjoy looking at Pat’s work.

Re: Patrick Gainer
Thanks for posting this Sandy. I have wondered about Mr. Gainer from time to time since it has been a long time since I had seen any posts from him. This is good news, although I am sorry about his health issues.

Re: Patrick Gainer
Knowing Pat's health was not the best, I held my breath when I saw the post title.
Thanks Sandy for sharing the good news about Pat.

Re: Patrick Gainer
My health issues are mostly with my legs. The Canon EOS Rebel T3 is a Godsend for saving me from long hours in the darkroom.

Re: Patrick Gainer
By the way, thanks for all the well wishes.

Re: Patrick Gainer
Glad you are still making photos! Feel better.
And thanks for all those articles, posts on APUG, and for answering a few confused Emails over the years!
