Depends on where you are, exactly, but that is definitely often the case. There are parts of town that are a lot crazier, wire-wise, this is just average. Overall, I expected a lot less orderliness than I actually encounter here in Shanghai.

Almost every photo I took in Japan has a wire or two in them...
I always enjoy seeing the work of my peers. It gives me the ability to view the world vicariously, through their eyes, and with their perspective. Of course it also give one a chance to see places that they may never visit on their own.

That mess would never be allowed here in the states. Even the linemen would refuse to work on it.
