A dark day in Varde, Denmark in the summer of 2010 (I finally got everything together to post these). 90mm Optar, Ikeda Anba 4x5, on Shanghai 100. This is Nørup church.

Sct. Jacobi Church, Varde. Here you can see the vignetting I constantly get with the little Optar, and the reason I'm in the market for a better 90. A Grandagon I think, on my next trip to the US (or maybe Australia in May).

And my favorite of this set, Rousthøje church at Rousthøje, Denmark.

Great Shot Tim !! Nice perspective.
:D I appreciate that. I do wish the original was 'better' but this was an instance where I didn't even think about the final tones, unfortunately. I was really only thinking of the composition there. When I'm outside I am generally very aware of the lighting. But in the Cathedral it was hard for me to visualize the outcome even if I tried. I need to work on that. Not sure I'd be the best teacher either :D. A lot of dodging and burning or an equivalent method. A lot of it is intuitive so it's hard to say how to employ. I generally try and work the contrast and lighting in a way the guides the viewers attention to the focal points, if possible. At least I think that's what I try and do.

Kiteboy,
Great dramatic mood. I'm looking for Catherine & Heathcliff :)
Thank you.
Kiteboy, that is so nice. I love that area, keep it up.
