First time taking the 8x10 out with me. I completely underestimated the extra effort it takes to take lug around 8x10 vs. 4x5 but I was getting the hang of it by sunset. This was my last image from the night and I decided to go wide with the thought that I would crop it to 4x10 but I like this crop better.

Wonderful shot! I agree, what is this 5x10? It seems too skinny to be 6x10, but I could be wrong. I like it either way :)

Thanks Stone - glad you like it! It's just about 5x10 which helps avoid the clipping of the trees (top or reflection) that 4x10 was causing.

Another one from the weekend. Similar to my previous image, I shot this with 4x10 but I like the 5x10 crop a bit better for this.

I like this one, Pali. There is a nice balance between the dock on the lower left and the trees on the upper right. It is very harmonious without being perfectly symmetrical.

Thank you Jonathan. It means a great deal when someone with your skill appreciates my image - thank you!

I was a lot more concerned about the monster eel that swam through my tripod legs while this was exposing!
