Wollensak Velostigmat Series II 12" inch f4.5 diaphragm shape
Is the aperture when stopped down look like this? It's a very odd shape.

Normal for "Studio" shutter.

Looks like an old Studio Shutter. Yes, their blades do get sticky and out-of-alignment.

For a Studio shutter, that’s above average.
I find that any asymmetry is barely visible at normal portrait taking apertures (f/16 and wider), and I have never noticed an ill-effect on the film or print.

Mine looks the same. Spent $90 on a conclusion that new parts needs to be made in order to fix the shutter.
