I just got a new to me, Made In USA, Champion 5x7 contact printer. It also has some Christmas card masks, with space for a MF neg.

It is very clean and shiny, mostly. It came with a torn pack of DuPont Professional APEX DL-1 contact paper, expired 1955. I am not going to try using it, I think a mouse ate the side open. maybe I will try it, nothing else is working...

It has one red light and 2 oven bulbs 15 watts each.

I just tried it with some older Seagull RC, which I know is fine.

There is simply too much light, as fast I can operate the bulbs, they give me way overexposed black prints. Under just the red light for a minute, I get white paper. Of course.

Too late to go buy some far weaker bulbs.

I am going to try a few layers of copy paper as diffuser and light reduction.

Does anybody use these? What power bulbs do you suggest? I am thinking 1 watt X 2.

Pic 2 shows some sort of spring loaded gizmo?
Pic 3 shows my current light bulb assortment.

Hi folks,

I'm having a problem with newly acquired Jobo atl 1000. The processor is connected to domestic water supply. After switching it on the pump does not bring water inside nor any of lights are on. The only sign of processor being on is rotating mechanism, which starts as soon as I press the on/off button. Mechanism is however rather weak and slow and if i leave 2531 drum inside it stops after a minute or so, in slowing gradual manner. The drain valve is closed. I also tried to switch programs with no effect. Here is a video footage:
http://youtu.be/ofeRzI23Im8

Is my processor completely broken /pump, engine/ or am I doing something wrong and perhaps it needs some kind of system reset? After a day and night I can't find any relevant information on this problem.

Would very much appreciate any insights.

Thank you for your time,

Does anyone have any experience with the chinese made film changing tents? I'm on a tighter student budget. These are much cheaper than the Harrison ones.
This is the one I'm looking at for 100 and 30 shipping.

Hi all,

I just "won" a GraLab 900 from eBay. Have a few questions:

- Does anyone here use one on 240v or am I going to have to get a transformer?

- Would I be right in thinking the power out sockets can be used with an enlarger to turn on and off the lamp?

- Can the LED display be turned off entirely (for use with open trays)?

If anyone has any more useful hints and tips for using it, that'd be also welcome!

I think that's it!

I have slowly been restoring a Durst Laborator 138S with a CLS 301 dichroic head. It is a wonderfull enlarger and I am loving it. One thing that has had me curious from the moment I bought it is the white switch that the CLS 301 head has on the lower right corner. In my enlarger it does not seem to do anything. It probably is malfunctioning but I would like to know what it was for. I am also guessing that it is also connected somehow to the power supply. Mine is a regulated EST 301. I also have the cooling fan. My version of the head is the one with two 300W bulbs.
I have searched the net and this forum, but using the keywords "CLS 301" and "white switch" and some variants I was not able to find anything. The Laborator 138S that Durst USA has kept alive does not have anything on the head but it does make a reference to a booklet that has a title something along these lines: "Durst CLS 301 on the Laborator 138S". Again I have not been able to find it.
Does anyone know what it is for?
Thank you!
