In going thru the manual for my L1000 it specifies for a 50mm lens to use the TAUPLA lens panel.
However I can't find this lens panel any place.
There seems to be a similar SETOPLA or the plastic SIRIOTUB lens pannels, is this an acceptable replacement for the TAUPLA?

I just sent an email to Durst in Italy, so I won't for for a while if they will respond.
There isn't any Durst enlarger info on their web site, so maybe they sold off that division.

thanks for the help

I never tried. But SETOPLA and SIRIOTUB are the sunk boards specified in the L1200 manual, which uses the same flat (LAPLA) boards as the L1000, so it is rather unlikely that they will not fit the L1000.

Hi
I have a L1000 which I no longer use, for 50mm lenses the sunk panel supplied was Latub the end of the tube in which the lens is screwed (39mm) unscrews to allow easy insertion and removal of the lens, also supplied were a range of levers to allow easy aperture changing, see photo.

I also have an Autotub, the details of this are as follows (from Glennview.com website)

AUTOTUB, ~3-4" recessed lensboard for use with 28/35/50/60mm lenses, with helical focus mount with about 2" of travel, rear ring is reversible and allows either 3 or 4" recess, rear ring is threaded for Leica screwmount lenses (a different rear ring may be necessary for use with your lens),

As long as the lens holder is the correct diameter it will fit. Durst use silly name instead of descriptive part number, the names just mean there different depths, for 50mm my lens mount is a 15mm one

Yes the LAPLA are specified in both the L1000 and L1200 manuals, so the boards themselves will interchange.
When I compared the L1000 and L1200 manuals, I get the impression that the L1200 gets the lens panel closer to the negative than the L1000, thus does not need as deep a recessed lensboard as the L1000. On the L1200, the 28 and 35mm lenses require a 17mm recessed lens board, while the L1000 uses a 33mm recessed lens board for the same lenses.

Thanks Shane
The info that I have is the SETOPLA is a 17mm recessed board, so it sounds like the the correct board.

IIRC, I was able to use a SETOPLA for 50mm on the L1000. LATUB/SEIMAR is overkill. SEIPLA should also work. LAPLA isn't recessed enough. I have never seen a TAUPLA, even in a photo...

I have and use a L1000. I use the 50mm lens with a lapla board whenever I'm doing 35mm work. It works perfectly. In fact all my enlarger lenses (50, 80, 135, 150) all work just AOk with the lapla board. Its not recessed or anything, just flat with a champhered edge that is held under the stage.

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks the durst names are a) stupid and b) confusing!

@Fran
I've been confused by the naming since I got my first Durst M600 back in 1971.
I suppose there is a method to the naming that the Durst folks figured out.
