I have a chest freezer that I use for beer kegs. I made my own thermostat for it, but if you take apart the thermostat on most of them they have a coarse adjustment screw that will allow you to turn the temperature up into the refrigerator temp range. I think chest freezers probably make efficient refrigerators because they have a lot of insulation and all the air doesn't spill out of them when you open them up.

I actually keep my film in a proper freezer though. I thought that was better?

I found this looking for solar fridge options for field trips.
A few years ago they were five grand
Now a solar bar fridge is 600
But still. You can use this on any freezer

It should be illegal for ANY fridge to go above 4 degrees.
