How large is it reasonable to print? In the past I've made "nice" 8x10s with 35mm negative and enlargement (Macro-Nikor/Panatomic X). I'd like to go somewhat larger.
What would be the best means to copy it digitally? Flat bed such as V700?

I have tested flat bed scanning the original, vs phase back studio light copy of the original. I think they are both equal, You should be able to get decent results with the V700 with all good workflow. You should be
able to get a very decent 16 x20 - 20 x24.

I have done a lot of copy work in my time, from 8x10 deardorff copy set up , to Linhoff copy stand work, right now I would say a decent scanner would be your best be.
You could go the route of Uberscanner, or attach a high end scanning back on your 4x5, if today I was doing a lot of this kind of work I would consider these methods.
