(This announcement is from March, but doesn't seem to be in the archives.)
Fujifilm is releasing a line of anti-aging cosmetics, based on their film technologies:

"Collagen not only is the essential ingredient within photographic film, it is a key component of the skin. Antioxidants prevent images from fading in colour and repair and protect the skin from UV damage. Fujifilm have applied this knowledge to skincare and developed the most unique of technologies to prevent UV rays from weakening both collagen and elastin within the skin."

A rather wild concept. I suppose given a shutter speed of 65 years, the emulsion of one's face could get over-exposed...

I suppose many photographs aim to make people look better...so why shouldn't photo chemistry be used for the same purpose!

If you want to make skin archival.... Handle only in total darkness, & store in a cool dry place, like a freezer.

Isn't archival fixing important? I think they use formaldehyde, instead of hypo.

One could say that Fuji is cutting out the middleman.
