I've recently stumbled on the photographer Alfred Cheney Johnston. You can see his incredible work here,

His photos were taken in the 1920's and 30's. I read that he shot on glass plate and printed on platinum paper. Aside from collodion what other process were around that involved a glass plate negative?

Glass plates with gelatin/silver were available in the same emulsions as film until just a few years ago.
Why are the pictures labeled with current month/dates?

I think as the blogger finds pictures he/she puts them under the time when they were found? I really love the long tonal ranges of his work, quite a few of them remind me of a photogravure.
