This is great news and something that I suspected would happen. Kodak still makes some of the best film in the world and if they can just concentrate on the analogue end of the business they will succeed.

Kodak could be very profitable just licensing out their digital patents. They still hold the rights to a lot of very basic digital technology, especially in cell phone cameras. (Hmmm, isn't that how Kodak originally made it big: cheap easy photography for the masses?) And licensing out their name, which is still worth quite a bit, I would think...

Hard to say what this means for large format film. But yes, verrrry interesting...
