Another great source bites the dust?

I wonder if it is simply a case of an expired domain name (Expired 2/2/2012) or gone for good?

Well, functionally pretty much the same in this day and age.

I hope it is temporal. Kerry was very helpful when I was getting a tripod and a head.

If they are gone foor good, you can try to go here to see if they have an archived copy of the site. Just type in the website you're looking for and see what they got:

How about just asking Kerry—he is an active member here. His email is in the Members List.

Have no fear. Really Big Cameras is alive and well. The domanin and hosting were set to auto renew, but the credit card set up for payment expired at the end of January. I got an email from my domain registrar/hosting service this morning and have updated the credit card information. I'm now paid up for another two years. The web site should be back up and running shortly.

What about warranties?

Frank,

As I am still in business, I'd be happy to handle any warranty issues. If I ever go out of business (not that I plan to), all the products I carry come with 3-year manufacturer's warranties. Either way, your covered.

It looks like the Really Big Cameras web site is back online. Could one or two of you click on this link (http://reallybigcameras.com/) or this one (http://reallybigcameras.com/Feisol/Tripods) to confirm that my browser isn't just loading something out of some cache somewhere?

Thanks,

Leigh, when I posted this morning it was expired. Read the entire thread for a better understanding. Thanks.

Leigh,

I received an email from my registrar/hosting service this morning that the CC they had on file for my automatic renewal had expired. I went to their web site and updated my CC info with the new expiration date. They immediately updated the registration entry to the new February 2, 2014 date, but it took them a few hours to reactivate my web site. Everything seems to be working fine now.

I tried to contact Kerry at Reallybigcameras and received a reply from Feisol USA not from Kerry. Tried PM ing him here and his mail box is full. Have I missed a post regarding communication with him at LFF?
Hopefully all is well with him and his business.
Anyone have information regarding this?

Thanks,
GP

I just ran a WhoIs and found the domain name expires on 2 Feb 2014, and was updated on 3 Feb 2012.

It probably did expire and he renewed it for two years when you realized it.

It's working for me. That Photoclam Pro Gold is the best head I've ever used. It's small, but sturdy. There's nothing like a little head that gives you rock solid support.

That's weird, what email address did you use? I'm not affiliated in any way with Feisol USA. They are a separate business and a competing dealer. They are NOT the manufacturer of Feisol products (that would be feisol.com). The correct email address to reach me is: sales@reallybigcameras.com

It's perpetually full. I don't log in here regularly, so my PM box is always overflowing. Email at the address above is the best way to reach me.

Hopefully all is well with him and his business.

I'm doing great, and so is the business. Drop me an email at the address above and I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have.
