Any of you can tell me the differences between compact CL Apo Ronar and the standard version ( 1000 and 1200 mm) apart from the obvious differences in size and weight?

All of the CL versions have a linearized aperture scale.

1000mm f14 and a 1000mm f16. 1mm difference in EFL, same coverage, 86mm vs 127mm filter, 109.8 vs 202.4mm length, 993.5 vs 970.5mm FFL, 135 vs 140mm max. dia., M120x1 vs M135x1 screw thread.

1200mm f14 and 1200mm f16. 1070.5 vs 1199.8mm EFL, same coverage, 100 vs 135mm filter thread, 129.5 vs 243mm length, 1185.3 vs 1171.5mm FFL, 135mm vs 150mm max dia, M120x1 vs M145x1 thread.

Thanks Bob for the detailed info. There are huge diferences is size/weight. What about image quality, any differences?.

What are yoiu shooting? Maps or scenes?

I would use the lens for landscape, most times with architecture involved.
