Looking for paper similar to Hahn Photo Rag 308 but cheaper

Went through samples of a number of matte papers last year and settled on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308. But it is expensive. Now that I have the 3880 up and have re-tested all the papers with the K3 inks and ABW, I love the Photo Rag 308 even more. Has anyone found a paper they believe to be close to that but less expensive. I generally print on 16x20 and 8.5x11.

Hi Ron,

Sorry to say we have not. We also use the Museo Portfolio Rag and the Lexjet Hot Press Rag which are very similar papers (slight differences) and both are priced very closely with the Hahnemuhle Photo Rag. Will keep an eye on this thread and let you know if we come across anything.

How about Epson Hot Press Natural? (There's also a brightened version available,which I haven't used.)
