I purchased a 12 Calumet Caltar in an Ilex #4 shutter a few weeks ago. Somehow in shipping the "nipple" where you screw in the remote release cable came off and disappeared.

The hole where it is supposed to go does not appear to be threaded so it is probably press fitted in. Right now there is just a hole in the rim of the shutter - nothing seems to be broken off. There is a cam right inside the hole and when I push down on it the shutter releases, so the shutter is working with respect to the cable release.

The lever shutter release works, so I am not dead in the water but I'd like to have a cable release capability.

Any advice? Spare? An old broken Ilex 4 for parts lying around I could buy?

hey---I got THIS laying around.....the 50 and 100 works but the slow speeds stall--just "refound" it when I was going through a drawer for something else....got a flange...BUT this is the non-iris no cocking version---"universal"....I think them nipple parts are the same but I don't know for sure
