The passing of one of the greats

The word is that Per Volquartz passed away this morning at 5:45 California time. A great loss to all who had the good fortune to share his company. I spent a week with him at his home last November and looked forward to spending more time, but not to be. He was so generous with his advice and one of the finest human beings I've met in a long time.

Sorry to hear that. I nerver met him, but people I know who knew him thought very highly of him. He was a great photographer.

I'm stunned! I live a few blocks from him and had not idea if he was ill or what happened. He was a wonderful talented man.

Per was a great guy. I did a darkroom workshop in his home a few years ago. RIP.
