Hi all,
For anyone who is going to Arles on 4-9 July, or is thinking about going and might want some encouragement to go, there is a photo workshop on those dates with some places still available.
The instructor is Andrew Squires (http://www.photography-provence.com/), a very friendly, helpful, insightful photographer and teacher. In addition to his main site, he also has another site (http://web.me.com/photovision1/iWeb/Site/Welcome.html) based on previous years of the workshop at Arles.
The workshop is focused not on technique, but on looking at other photographer's work, thinking about it, talking about it, learning from it, and seeing above all. We have daily discussions of what we saw each day and evening, what it inspired, and so on.
And of course this is the south of France, so there are good meals in plenty, good weather, and good times!
