-----------------
The Art of Photography Show 2011 is a world-class international exhibition of photographic
art which will occur August 13 – October 16 at the elegant two-level Lyceum Theatre Gallery,
a perfect venue for exhibiting a large showcase of photography. One of the distinguishing
characteristics of this competition and exhibition is that our judge is always a highly acclaimed
museum curator. We are very pleased that our judge for 2011 is Anne M. Lyden, the Associate
Curator , Department of Photographs at the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles. The 2010
competition surpassed all expectations, attracting entries from 67 countries. About 30,000
people viewed the exhibit, which is definitely the most to date. We are expecting an even
bigger response to the Art of Photography Show 2011.
This is the seventh year of the Art of Photography Show. This major photographic exhibition
is an ideal forum for photographers to exhibit and sell their work, reaching our very large
community of art collectors, affluent individuals, corporate heads, civic leaders and very
influential people who make up the Art of Photography Show audience.
Show Highlights
• Over 30,000 people will view the Art of Photography Show 2011 during the nineweek
run at the Lyceum Theatre Gallery.
• Over 1,500 people will attend the Opening Reception Gala on Saturday August
13th. The event will be fully catered, fine wine and other beverages provided, and
live music performed. Our attendees are a mix of San Diego movers and shakers,
including art collectors, high net worth residents, advertising executives, architects
& designers, downtown San Diego business owners, executives of major San Diego
corporations, and civic and government leaders. Most of artists selected for exhibition
will also be there, from all over the world.
• Over $10,000 in award money and prizes will be given to artists in the Art of
Photography Show 2011.
• An elegant 80-page show catalog will be given to everyone at the Opening
Reception Gala and is made available for free at each special event during the
exhibition. Our sponsor’s information is featured as an integral part of the show
catalog.
The growth and appreciation of the photographic arts continues to expand exponentially
and we are very optimistic that the 2011 show will build upon the tremendous success we
had in 2010. Through increased marketing and co-marketing arrangements, we expect to
garner even more exposure among our expanding audience.
Our goal is to provide as many tangible benefits as possible to the exhibiting artists. The
cash awards, accolades, media coverage and sales revenue that we provide to artists who
are selected by our acclaimed judge are substantial. You can read testimonials from artists
in our previous shows here: www.artofphotographyshow.com/testimonials.html.
