I have a Beseler 4X4 lens mounting board which I have modified for use on a Omega D-2. I did this by hacking off a corner so it would fit on the Omega board. It has worked famously for years, but now I wonder if I have ruined it forever for use on the Beseler as originally intended. I do not know enough about the Beseler's to know. Please see the attached jpeg to see what I mean. Any advice will be appreciated.

tnx

Warren,

That lens board will leak light all over the place if used on a 4x5 Beseler enlarger.

If you need another Beseler lens board, PM me.

I have two nice ones for sale for a very reasonable price.

It will probably still square up in the slot with a corner gone. So cut a piece of cardboard to cover the opening and tape it on with gaffers' tape.

Beseler mounting boards are cheap on auction sites, can even be had by running a simple WTB ad. The lensboards for 45's and 23C's are the same.

I wouldn't worry too much about replacing your modified board.

I've purchased Beseler lens boards for as little as $1.
