New Yosemite Book

Although it's been around for a few months, I'm finally getting around to announce my new coffee-table book, "Spectacular Yosemite", published by Rizzoli Universe.

That's the Yosemite project I had been wrapping last summer. You'd think there are lots of photo books that offer a "virtual tour" by surveying the park's scenery by areas, but surprisingly that's not the case. The images where photographed from 1994 to 2010 using a variety of formats, including 5x7, digital, and 35mm. Fortunately none of the latter were used for the spreads, which 32" wide.

There seems to be a few UK merchants/dealers selling it, have a look on amazon, ebay etc. I found one selling it, including postage, for under 17 quid. My copy arrived today.

My copy arrived today and it's beautifully put together. The photograph of Nevada Falls brought back memories of my childhood. And the golden light on Half Dome is sublime.

Since the same publisher has already a title of exactly the same format, "Spectacular Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks " (http://www.amazon.com/Spectacular-Yellowstone-Grand-Teton-National/dp/0789399946/?tag=alargeformatphot), which appears to be selling quite well, a Yellowstone book is more than unlikely.

What's next really is for me to complete and find a publisher for my "opus magnum", the long-due book about all the 58 US National Park http://www.terragalleria.com/book.html
