I have a line on an older but functional De Vere 5108 for a (comparatively) reasonable price. But this one is equipped with the De Vere Vario Contrast head, serving up both the Ilford filter grade system or by adjusting a switch (?) the Kodak Polycontrast filters. Does anybody here have experience with this light source and can comment on brightness and ease of use, etc? (it comes with 2 mixing chambers - 4x5 and 8x10...
