Gitzo G2270M Low Profile Head

Hello,

is the Gitzo G2270M large and stable enough for a 4x5" field camera (Shenhao)? Would you even recommend the quick release version? In that case which plate with a 3/8" screw can you recommend?
Or is it best to stick with the bigger G1570M? I have read that operating this head with a too light camera might be awkward, though.

I use a quick release with all of my cameras, even my 8x10. The appropriate plates are quite sturdy. The G2270M head has a rated capacity of 11 pounds, so it will be fine with pretty much any 4x5 camera. Both of my 4x5s have 1/4" mounts, and they are just fine with whatever lens I use.
