I am looking for a Grman based 4x5 lab that develops transparencies and colour negatives. Could anyone recommend any?

Germany is a large country !
In Freiburg you have Fachcolor Bühler

There are still some in every large city - to walk in. Just google "Fachlabor" + the city you're in!
Here in Berlin for example there are larger labs like Pixelgrain or PPS, some say best B/W and E6 is Gröger and Gerstenberg: http://www.diaentwicklung.de/

actually I am in Sweden, but with the lack of good relatively inexpensive development services here, I want to send the films abroad to get them developed. Logically, Germany seemed like a good option...

Consider Mr Horsky in Prague, Czech Rep. He does 4x5, all three processes (B&W, C41 and E6). Prices are respectively 30, 40 and 50 CZK (1,16, 1,55 and 1,93 EUR) per sheet, quality is pretty good. AFAIK he doesn't scan. I used to use his services when I was in Prague.
