Jobo 1000 ml bottle substitute

Has anyone sourced a substitute to replace the 1000 ml Jobo bottles in a CPP or TBE tempering box? The Jobo bottles are getting hard to find and expensive. Thanks.

Right now new ones are not available according to my German contact :) That said I have used the small glass Snapple bottles,...they go into the slots nicely- just be careful with the glass,and they are not quite a liter.

Thanks for the link. I ordered some from Europe... We'll see how that goes. I managed to find bottles more expensive than Jobo.

Will do. I bought a dozen. The shipping was was same for 8 or 12. I did not check that out in more detail. Shipping was ~$30.

I followed up on the lead regarding Hama bottles as a Jobo 1000 ml substitute. I think the original Jobo bottles are no longer available new and the used ones are pricey.

They are also pricey in US dollars but I took the plunge and bought a dozen of them because shipping was a little better at that quantity. They arrived today. The are just like Jobo bottles. They fit perfectly in a CPP or TBE. The lids are wider which I think is better. I have not checked the lids for being spill-proof. So these are an excellent alternative to the Jobo 1000ml bottles and readily available. Thumbs up.

Those Ilford Rapid Fixer 1000ml bottles do look the part. Compared to the price of Jobo bottles it looks like Ilford throws in the fixer for free! The only down side is that the opening is relatively small.

I get pharmaceutical grade 500ml bottles for free... I'm a pharmacist... When the bottle is done I just wash it out really well and use them...
