Another chemical question?

I have a formula that requires Ascorbic acid. The only supply I can get is Calcium Ascorbate. I'm told it is the same but I don't know. Can someone offer some advice please?

It is for ABC pyro plus.

They are quite different, Ascorbic acid has anti oxidant properties. It shouldn't be too difficult to find.
